Chapters 41-49
The narrator doesn't want to have any talk with Charles , but he has to speak with him in order to know about his relationship with Blanche and the reason of her suicide .So he finds out the Blanche is only a model for the artist however she loves him with all her heart.During the process of painting Blanche is interesting for Charles , but when he finises his work she begins to remain his former wife and he hates it . Strikland shows his paintings to the storyteller and he finds them disgusting and very strange at the same time.
The narrator set off to Marcel. In Tahiti he decides to write a book about Charles because there he finds ou that the artist becomes very successful. The captain says that Strikland comes there and then set off to East, in Australia or New Zealand. Later Charles's works on a ship and all his things from Paris are sold including his pictures , which later becomes very expensive.
